Historic Kona

Join a wonderful journey of discovery through the historic city of Kona and along Hawaii's beautiful sun-drenched Gold Coast. Departing from the pier, travel past ancient temples, fields of coffee and macadamia nuts, as well as breathtaking coastal scenery. Hawaii is world-famous for its rich blends of Kona coffee, and a stop at the Kona coffee house gives you a chance to sip the flavorful brew while browsing through the shop and exhibits.


Enjoy the breathtaking sea views of Kealakekua Bay. Another highlight of this tour is St. Benedict's historic painted church, noted for its colorful murals depicting biblical scenes. Then, get ready to discover old Hawaii at Pu'uhonua O Honaunau National Historical Park. This place of refuge has served as a political and religious sanctuary since ancient times and is home to the sacred Hale o Keawe Heiau, a temple that once housed the bones of deceased chiefs.

Volcanoes National Park

Explore Volcanoes National Park and learn about Hawaii's Goddess of Fire, Madame Pele, as you drive along the crater's rim as allowed by park rangers; due to activity, parts may be closed. Standing at just over 4,000 feet, Kilauea is not the tallest volcano on the Big Island, but it's certainly the most active.


Pass the Kilauea Iki Crater before stopping at the Thurston Lava Tube, where a short walk gives you the opportunity for an up-close view of an extinct lava tube. This tour also visits the Jaggar Museum, where you'll view Halema`uma`u Fire Pit. Finally, end your day with a visit to Big Island Candies where you can sample the tasty treats and take some home.


Note: Please be advised that while at Volcanoes National Park, you may encounter natural sulfur gases which can affect those with respiratory problems and you won't see molten lava. Thurston Lava Tube is not wheelchair accessible due to uneven pathways and steps. An additional optional shopping stop may be provided.

Journey To Waimea Canyon

Discover the breathtaking gorge in the heart of Kauai, Waimea Canyon, often called the 'Grand Canyon of the Pacific.' Departing from Nawiliwili pier, you'll drive through the 'tunnel of trees' to the south coast, passing the beautiful area of Koloa. While continuing along the island's one main highway, enjoy views of Kauai's many distinctive terrains and the small villages and island landmarks.


The centerpiece of your trip, Waimea Canyon, greets you with a spectacular view - an array of rainbow colors created by the reds and browns of exposed volcanic rock, mingled with the blues and greens of lush tropical vegetation. This magnificent canyon in the heart of Kauai is 10 miles long, one mile wide and 3,400 feet deep. It possesses a beauty all its own. Bring a camera to capture the spectacular beauty of this natural work of art. It's an experience to treasure.

Haleakala Crater

This scenic journey takes you through upcountry Maui to the top of the world's largest dormant volcano, Haleakala. At the summit is a vast crater measuring seven and a half miles long by two and a half miles wide. This dormant volcano last erupted in 1790 and imparts a sense of awesome power by virtue of its size alone. Haleakala Crater is a natural wonder and is the highest point on Maui.


The views from the top at over 10,000 feet above sea level are magnificent. On a clear day, you'll even enjoy views of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea. From the rim, you'll be able to appreciate firsthand the unique beauty of this massive crater with its interesting mix of volcanic rock and plant life, some of which, like the silversword plant, is found only in Hawaii's volcanic craters.


Note: This tour is not recommended for guests with respiratory or heart problems. We recommend you bring a sweater as temperatures range between 40-65 degrees Fahrenheit at the crater's top.

Grand Circle Island Tour

Get to know Oahu on this all-day tour that covers 120 miles of the top sightseeing spots which even includes lunch. You'll circle the entire island, beginning with a drive past world-famous Diamond Head Crater. Visit Sandy Beach, a favorite for body surfers and then continue to the North Shore, home to the most celebrated surfing zones in the world, such as Waimea Bay, Sunset Beach and the spectacular Banzai Pipeline. Finally, stop at the Dole Plantation where you can visit the store, sample pineapple juice, and stroll through the pineapple variety garden.

Best Of Kauai

This introduction to the 'Garden Isle,' features two of the area's most dramatic natural attractions - the 2,857 foot deep Waimea Canyon and a riverboat ride up the Wailua River to the famed Fern Grotto. Your adventure starts with a drive to a lookout point at 3,400 feet above sea level. From here, you'll have an unsurpassed view of the rainbow colored canyon with its reds and browns from exposed volcanic rock and blues and greens from lush tropical vegetation.


Next, you'll board a riverboat for a cruise up the Wailua River to the Fern Grotto. This beautiful lava cavern forms a natural amphitheater with excellent acoustics. At the grotto, keeping with island custom, a chorus will serenade you with the traditional Hawaiian Wedding Song.


Note: The pathways at the Fern Grotto may be slippery. Fern Grotto may be substituted by the Pacific Paradise Gardens if not available. Lunch is included.

North Kohala is home to some of the most spectacular scenery in Hawaii - rushing streams, sparkling waterfalls, lush tropical foliage and rugged sea cliffs. Come along and visit this fertile and abundant heart of Kohala and explore its rich natural and cultural heritage. Enjoy a beautiful and informative narrative drive to the remote north end of the island followed by a short off-road adventure to the trailhead in a rugged 6WD Pinzgauer.


Your interpretive guide leads the way on this educational and fun exploration of these remote and private lands. Along with an abundance of waterfalls, the short mile and a half trail has three bridges, two idyllic streams, traditional Hawaiian taro terraces and irrigation flumes. Your tour begins with a scenic short drive to Wailuku River State Park and Rainbow Falls. The 80-foot falls cascade into a circular pool at the base of the Wailuku River. Your adventure continues to the Akatsuka Orchid Gardens where you'll visit one of the largest orchid collections on display in Hawaii. You'll have a chance to purchase seedling souvenirs that have already been agriculturally inspected so you can take a little bit of Hawaii home with you.


Then, take an approximately 60-minute drive to Volcanoes National Park, where 70 million years of volcanic history are on display. Here, you can admire the remarkable view of Kilauea Volcano, the earth's most active volcano. Trace the birth of the Hawaiian Islands when you visit the Jaggar Museum, where you'll view Halema`uma`u Fire Pit. You'll also have the opportunity to walk through the Thurston Lava Tube before a visit to Mauna Loa Macadamia Nut Factory.

After departing the pier, drive directly to Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial Visitor Center. Following a short orientation, a motor launch will take you to the memorial, which straddles the hull of the USS Arizona. This is the final resting place for many of the crewmen killed on December 7, 1941. Enjoy a stop at the statue of the great ruler, King Kamehameha.


See Iolani Palace, the residence of Hawaii's monarchy, and Kawaiahao, Hawaii's oldest church, as well as Washington Place, once home to Queen Liliuokalani. Your tour concludes with a drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl Crater. Then, relax and enjoy the panoramic city views on your drive to the airport.

Haleakala Crater At Sunset

This tour takes you to the top of the world's largest dormant volcano, Haleakala - which means "House of the Sun". Rising over 10,000 feet from sea level, Haleakala is renowned for its raw beauty and unique scenery. At the summit, some 10,000 feet above sea level, is a vast crater, the size of Manhattan. You'll marvel at the crater's eerie lunar-like landscape of cinder cones and ancient lava formations. The view is absolutely amazing and the sunset is beautiful. On clear days, you'll enjoy views of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea in the distance.
